UK property auction sites compared (2026): where to find auction property

Last reviewed: 7 October 2026 · Facts checked: 7 October 2026 · Written by: AuctionLand

Disclosure: This comparison is published by AuctionLand, one of the sites compared. AuctionLand is not an auctioneer and is not affiliated with the other sites listed.

The short answer

No single site lists every UK property auction lot. Each site's coverage claims are counted differently, so check more than one before you rely on a search. In summary:

  • Rightmove and Zoopla are free portals. They show auction listings placed by agents and auction houses, including Rightmove's "Bid to purchase" (online conditional auction) lots.
  • Auction aggregators (AuctionIQ, AuctionLand, Auction Radar) collect lots from auction-house websites and add search filters and email alerts.
  • Sold-price history and repeat-lot data come from Auction Radar Pro and EIG. AuctionLand does not track lot history.
  • Per-lot valuation reports come from AuctionIQ. AuctionLand does not offer valuation tools.

It claims 7,000+ live lots and 66,000+ sold prices since 2002 (auctionradar.co.uk/pricing, 7 Oct 2026).

AuctionIQ

AuctionIQ is an aggregator with per-lot valuation reports, which compare guide prices with nearby sold comparables on a £/sq ft basis and use EPC data and listing photos. The free plan covers listings in the next 7 days. Paid plans are £9.95 (one county), £14.95 (three counties) and £29.95 (unlimited) a month (auctioniq.co.uk, /pricing, 7 Oct 2026).

It says it has "auction data from over 600,000 lots sold" and offers a free trial with no credit card (eigpropertyauctions.co.uk, 7 Oct 2026).

Rightmove

Rightmove is free to search. A listing appears under the Auction filter when its description contains the keyword "Auction". Online Conditional Auction (Modern Method of Auction) lots carry a "Bid to purchase" label. They usually give 56 days to exchange and complete and charge a non-refundable Reservation Fee, which Rightmove puts at about 5% of the price with minimums of £5,000–£6,000 on average (Rightmove FAQ, Rightmove guide, 7 Oct 2026).

Zoopla

Zoopla is free to search and says it has "thousands of homes available" at auction, with guides to buying and selling at auction (zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/auction, 7 Oct 2026).

Where AuctionLand is weaker (honest notes)

  • Smaller published catalogue: AuctionLand currently lists 1,453 upcoming lots (updated 8 October 2026). Auction Radar claimed 7,000+ live lots on 7 October 2026 (each site counts differently).
  • No sold prices, lot history or valuation: for those, look at Auction Radar Pro, EIG or AuctionIQ's valuation reports.
  • Free listings are delayed: free users see new lots as locked teasers for 48 hours.

Where AuctionLand is stronger

  • Daily refresh: auction-house sites are scraped every day at 07:00 UK time.
  • Low-cost county alerts: from £9.95/month for one county, with a £1 7-day trial. Unlimited (£29.95) adds an instant alert option.
  • UK-wide: it covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Which one fits you?

  • First-time auction buyer browsing locally: start free on Rightmove or Zoopla, then add an aggregator alert for your county (AuctionIQ from £9.95/month, AuctionLand from £9.95/month, Auction Radar Alerts £19/month).
  • Investor who wants comparables before bidding: Auction Radar Pro (sold-price comps, repeat-lot history), EIG (past records) or AuctionIQ valuation reports.
  • Commercial property buyer: EIG has residential and commercial search filters (retail, industrial, ground rents). AuctionLand's search also filters by commercial property type.

How we compared

We compared each site's coverage claim, update frequency, free tier, alerts, paid price, sold-price/lot-history data and valuation tools. Competitor facts come from each site's own pages on 7 October 2026; AuctionLand's lot count and prices are shown live from our catalogue and plan settings. Coverage numbers are each site's own claim, are counted in different ways and change daily, so we have not ranked the sites. Always verify lot details, legal packs and fees with the auctioneer. We review this page at least every 90 days.
